Chinese Gen took a significant step forward in minimally invasive surgical technology with the opening of Robocare Surgical Center, a groundbreaking innovation center housing our country’s first and only da Vinci Xi Dual Console Robotic Surgical System.
Through ingenuity and intelligent technology, our robotic assisted surgery expands the potential of surgeons to heal without constraints.
Country’s first Dual Console da Vinci Xi Robotic System
Designed to assist surgeons during complex procedures, the da Vinci robotic system are backed up by nearly three decades of experience of integrating robotics technology with advanced software to deliver better outcomes, enhanced precision, vision and control in minimally-invasive surgery with the following advantages to patients compared to traditional open surgery:
- Shorter hospitalization
- Reduced pain and discomfort
- Faster recovery time and return to normal activities
- Smaller incisions, resulting in reduced scarring and risk of infection
- Reduced blood loss and transfusions
The dual console allows for collaboration where two skilled surgeons can work side by side in real-time, working seamlessly and sharing expertise to enhance the overall efficiency of complex surgical procedures and improve patient outcomes.
It is commonly used in various surgical specialties, such as urology, gynecology, general surgery, and cardiothoracic surgery, among others.
The robotic surgery system is the surgeon’s most advanced surgical tool
The surgeon and the robotic arm
Enhanced dexterity without the tremors
The surgeon moves the robotic arm that holds fine surgical instruments enabling the surgeon to cut, dissect and suture with high degree of dexterity and full range of motion.
- Minimally invasive on other body parts and organs – The robotic surgical instruments require less space to operate reducing the need to push tissue, muscle and organs aside unlike through open or long incision surgery.
- Precise surgical operation – Translating the surgeon’s hand movements with accuracy and precision, the robotic arm has mechanical wrists that bend and rotate that is far beyond the abilities of the human hand.
- Elimination of tremors – The technology allows the surgeon to operate with steady, natural motion without the effects of hand tremors.
The surgeon and the robotic vision
3DHD Vision magnified up to 10 times more
With robotic surgical system, the surgeon can view the patient’s operating site using a highly magnified 3-dimensional high-definition camera, providing true depth perception and crystal-clear vision magnified more than standard laparoscopy is capable of and up to 10 times more than the naked eye.
The surgeon and the robotic accuracy
Greater precision and control
With robotic surgical system, the surgeon is empowered to perform complex surgical tasks through tiny incisions. The self-powered, computer-controlled surgical robots are programmed to aid in the positioning and manipulation of surgical instruments, resulting to better accuracy, flexibility and control.
Robotic surgery options at Robocare Surgical Center
Our experienced surgeons can help you understand your options for surgery. The following are the list of robotic-assisted procedures that the Robocare Surgical Center is capable of.
- Colorectal – colon resection, rectal resection, rectopexy or rectal prolapse surgeries
- General – cholecystectomy, stomach (gastrectomy), pancreas, small bowel and spleen surgeries, inguinal hernia ventral hernia repairs
- Gynecology – hysterectomy, pelvic organ prolapse surgery, myomectomy, endometriosis resection
- Urology – prostatectomy (prostate surgery), partial and radical nephrectomy (kidney surgery), pyeloplasty (surgery to relieve kidney blockage), cyst removal, radical cystectomy (bladder surgery), ureteral implantation (fixing the tubes connecting the bladder to the kidneys)
- Kidney and liver transplant
Robotic surgery in the horizon
We envision our future capabilities and developing competence in the following procedures.
- Cardiac– coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), mitral valve repair
- Head and neck – surgery for benign and malignant tumors of the mouth and throat, benign base of tongue resections
- Thoracic (chest) – lung biopsy, lung surgery, mediastinal mass reduction, thymectomy (thymus gland removal)
