Lokomat®Pro is a state-of-the-art robot-assisted gait training device designed for effective and intensive therapy. The patient is harnessed over the treadmill with a dynamic body weight support system while the lower extremities are guided by a computer-controlled exoskeleton ensuring physiological gait pattern in a safe walking environment.
Robot-assisted gait therapy can lead to changes through neuroplasticity for more functional, lasting motor gains and secondary benefits such as improved regulation of bowel and bladder and prevention of deconditioning.
The Lokomat®Pro is intended for patients with walking disabilities caused by neurological, muscular or orthopedic disorders.

On the other hand of the spectrum, patients who have already regained considerable walking ability can still be adequately challenged with the augmented performance feedback feature that provides game-like exercises over different therapy focuses such as movement pattern, speed, endurance, activity timing, attention and motivation. Using the robot to provide resistance in different gait phases leads to improvement of muscle activation during walking, therefore increasing strength, joint range of motion and balance for a better walking control.
