Soon, in the next 2 years, treatment of patients with chronic liver diseases, end-stage liver diseases, congenital liver diseases -like biliary atresia, and even hepatocellular carcinoma will soon have greater chance of survival and be treated in one of the best, yet affordable, medical center in the country — the CGHMC Liver Transplantation Unit.
At present, we are staffed with a team of competent, compassionate, and internationally trained Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgeons, Hepatologists, Interventional Gastroenterologists, Radiologists, Interventional Radiologists, Critical Care Specialist, and Anesthesiologists, who are ready to provide the best possible care for liver patients who do not yet require liver transplantation. Currently, the unit is completing the necessary medical and surgical equipment so that very soon, the CGHMC Liver Transplantation Unit will become a fully established medical and surgical facility.
