The Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) Institute of Urology is a one-stop-shop facility that provides a whole range of urological services.
Our facility is fully equipped with a complete line of urological equipment for basic and advanced endourological procedures and minimally invasive urologic surgeries capable of performing rigid and flexible cystoscopy, Retrograde Intra-Renal Surgery (RIRS) using digital flexible ureterorenoscopy, Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL ) using different sizes of nephroscopes, laser lithotripsy using our Holmium laser machine, Transurethral Laser Enucleation of the Prostate using either our Thulium laser or Holmium laser, and extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy (ESWL). We have a dedicated C-arm image intensifier, and intraoperative ultrasound machines including laparascopic probes exclusively for urological usage, and a complete set of laparoscopic instruments including top-of-the-line laparoscopic towers that provides exquisite high-definition images. Soon, we will be joined by our newest surgical team member, the da Vinci Robotic System that will complement the highly trained urologic surgeons.
We are the first in the country to offer targeted MRI ultrasound fusion prostate biopsy, allowing accurate diagnosis of prostate cancer while minimizing complications.
What We Do
Here at the Urological Institute, we are proud of our highly competent and respectful team of Uro-Oncologists capable of managing ordinary and complicated urologic cancers. Our urologic team members are highly trained and certified in using highly advanced technology that only a few centers, including some training institution, can provide. The Center is equipped with the advanced technology to provide minimally invasive procedures to treat common complicated urologic cases.
