The Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) was awarded its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Recertification by SOCOTEC Certification International after an extensive 2-day audit from September 19 to 20, 2023.
There were close to 30 Areas audited which included among others Emergency Department, HRD, Pediatric Wards, CVOR/CVRR/CV-Telemetry, Neuro-ICU, Rehab. Medicine, Radiation Oncology/Hema-Oncology, Digestive Endoscopy, Delivery Room, Hemodialysis, Nuclear Medicine, and Processes of the Quality Management Team (Internal Quality Audit, Document Control, Control of Non-conformity, and Management review).
The auditor commented positively on the hospital’s general performance where leadership, commitment and support of Top Management in the continuous and effective Quality Management System is very evident. Personnel competency and awareness were completely demonstrated during audit interview and discussion. The SOCOTEC auditors were impressed with the overall improvements in facilities and services as well as the awareness of the personnel to their respective processes and Quality Management System.
Since its first certification in 2014, the hospital has maintained its compliance to ISO Quality Management The recertification intends to review the level of performance, system and process efficiency as well as the quality of service it provides to its patients and the community.
The audit was concluded with message of appreciation from the hospital’s President and CEO, Mr. Kelly Sia. The auditing team recommended an immediate re-certification of CGHMC with validity until 2025 following successful 2024 and 2025 Surveillance Audits.
