The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center offers a 4-year residency training program. It was recently accredited as a level 3 training program last June 2022 following.
The program offers a meticulous outcome-based curriculum that equip the residents in the theoretical basis and practical application of General Obstetrics and Gynecology and expose them to a wide variety of cases in the pay and service divisions. Encompassing both medical and surgical management of various obstetric and gynecologic dilemmas, trainees are exposed to a high standard of education and training that is at par with the top training institutions in the Philippines. The curriculum also allows them considerable exposure to the various sub-specialties in the field of OB-GYN, including Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Ultrasound, Infectious Diseases, Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery, Gestational Trophoblastic Diseases, Gynecologic Oncology, and Pathology. This serves as a valuable adjunct to their clinical skills and experience, and gives them a top-level advantage in pursuing their sub-specialty of choice both in the local and global setting.
Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Diplomate written and oral examinations following completion of cases.
