The Department of Internal Medicine of the Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center was formally established in 1970 and has been in the forefront of excellence in adult care medicine. The department aims to be the premiere department of internal medicine with global standards of patient care, training and research and the department has been growing to attain such standards. It has always been the goal of the department to ensure delivery of quality service to medical patients and to train and develop professional and skilled general internists; preparing them for specialization in the different subspecialty fields of medicine
Our department since 1988, has been fully accredited by the Philippine College of Physicians to provide intensive training to potential internists. The department has continually been an optimum ground and opportunity for research, training and continuing medical education in its field of internal medicine.
