Health Services – EEG

An electroencephalogram (EEG) is a test that detects electrical activity in your brain using small, metal discs (electrodes) attached to your scalp. An EEG is particularly important to determine changes in brain activity that can be useful in diagnosing brain disorders such as: epilepsy and other seizure disorders, brain tumor, brain damage from head injury, brain dysfunction from a variety of causes, inflammation of the brain, stroke, and sleep disorders.
