Building on this foundation, the hospital achieved a first in 2024, becoming the <strong>first hospital in the Philippines to acquire the Dual-Console da Vinci Xi Robotic Surgical System<\/strong><strong>, <\/strong>the most advanced robotic surgery platform in the country. This groundbreaking system allows two surgeons to operate simultaneously, enhancing teamwork and efficiency across different specialties for complex cases. This pioneering step positioned CGHMC as a leader in surgical innovation\u2014one where <strong>technology meets the human touch.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Under the leadership of the Father of Philippine Robotic Surgery, Dr. Jason Letran, who also serves at CGHMC\u2019s Director for Clinical Operations and the Robocare Surgical Center, the robotic surgery program of the hospital has grown in leaps and bounds in a short span of time. Robot-assisted procedures in CGHMC span across general surgery, gynecology, and urology, including Robot-Assisted Kidney Transplant (RAKT). \u00a0CGHMC also pioneered robotic bariatric procedures such as Robotic <\/strong>Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass, Robotic SADI-S (Single Anastomosis Duodenal-ileal Bypass with Sleeve Gastrectomy), and Robotic Sleeve Gastrectomy with Proximal Jejunal Bypass.
