Ear Diagnostics – Hearing Center Opens at CGHMC

The Chinese General Hospital and Medical Center (CGHMC) recently marked another milestone as it opened a new diagnostic center. The Ear Diagnostics – Hearing Center officially opened its doors to patients with hearing problems. It offers advanced hearing care and auditory diagnostics using the latest audiometry technology.

Dr. Samuel Ang, CGHMC Medical Director, said, “We’d like to make CGHMC into a complete hospital. Since hearing problems are common degenerative diseases, the rising aging population needs this kind of service.”

Giving a brief history that led to this important milestone, Dr. Alexander Cukingnan, Section Head of Otorhinolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, recounted the journey that led to the opening of the Ear Diagnostics – Hearing Center. “This was a dream come true for CGHMC,” he said. Spanning the time of COVID-19 to the present—from budget constraints to space limitations—it took years before the partnership with hearing specialist Dr. Rodolfo de la Cruz turned this dream into a reality.
