Spearheaded by urologic oncologist Dr. Jason Letran—recognized as the Father of Philippine Robotic Surgery—CGHMC is on track to reach 500 robotic surgery cases by September 2025. A recent count revealed a total of 388 robotic procedures performed since 2022, including 273 urology cases such as radical prostatectomies, cystectomies with ileal or neo-bladder constructions, nephrectomies, partial nephrectomies, and dismembered pyeloplasties. Also recorded were 47 gynecologic cases, 53 general surgery cases, and 1 thoracic case.

Driving this milestone are CGHMC’s Da Vinci-certified surgical specialists: 10 urologists, 4 gynecologists, and 11 general, thoracic, and minimally invasive surgeons. This achievement was made possible through the strong support of the CGHMC administration and DTG Medical, which enabled the team to complete their specialized training and certifications.

Looking ahead, the CGHMC Robotics Team is committed to continuously enhancing the quality and reach of its robotic surgery services.
